19th Annual Homeless Holiday Luncheon

November 16, 2017 @ 11:00 am

Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson will join the City of Toledo Department of Neighborhoods and many generous partners in hosting a traditional Thanksgiving-style meal for underserved citizens on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm in the banquet hall of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 740 N. Superior Street.  Health screenings and other services begin at 10 am.

Agencies which provide assistance throughout the year for less fortunate individuals and families have circulated flyers in the community so that people know they are welcome to attend.  The luncheon will be served by city officials from 11 am to 1 pm, but guests may also visit a mobile health clinic and speak with service providers to receive health screenings and service referrals starting at 10 am.  Participants may enjoy complimentary haircuts and manicures from Paul Mitchell the School Toledo.  New combs and brushes and Care Packs with toiletries will be distributed at the event.

Buckley the Squirrel from Buckeye Healthcare, Banks Family – Spoon, Fork & Knife, a Magic show by Martin Jarrett and face painting by Blue Bell the Clown are available for entertainment.
